2023-10-07

Fell at age 35

Dolev, a member of Kibbutz Nir Oz, volunteered with MDA as a first aid responder in his kibbutz and the Ofakim sector, and served as a member of MDA’s Immediate Response Unit.

On the morning of October 7th, when terrorists infiltrated Nir Oz, Dolev reported to the MDA responders’ coordinator that there was gunfire and casualties in the kibbutz. He left his family in the safe room and went out to assist and save lives under fire. He has not returned since.

For months, he was declared missing and presumed abducted. His wife, Siggy, who survived with their children after many hours of barricade and uncertainty, gave birth to their fourth daughter, Dor, a few days after the attack.

In June 2024, it was revealed that Dolev was murdered on that same Saturday, and his body was found in the kibbutz area after a complex identification process.

Dolev was laid to rest in Kibbutz Nir Oz. He is survived by his wife, four children, parents, a brother, and a sister.

An MDA ambulance bearing his name was dedicated in his memory.

May his memory be a blessing.
