Lior was a veteran and well-known figure in Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak.
For more than four decades, he volunteered for MDA and served as an emergency medical medic and the kibbutz’s ambulance driver.
He donated blood regularly and was a central figure in the local emergency response system.
Simultaneously, he was a member of the rapid response team for decades and was deeply involved in community life.
On the morning of October 7, Lior went out to defend Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak. He was murdered in the battle to protect the kibbutz, and his body was abducted to the Gaza Strip.
His body was held in Gaza for more than two years, until it was returned to Israel on November 8, 2025.
Lior was laid to rest at the civil cemetery in Nir Yitzhak.
He is survived by his wife, four children, his father, and two brothers.
An MDA ambulance bearing his name was dedicated in his memory.
May his memory be a blessing.
